Il controllo avviene tramite il software Polyscope 5, di facile utilizzo, su un touchscreen da 12". L'UR12e supporta interfacce come Modbus TCP, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP e ROS, consentendo un'integrazione senza soluzione di continuità nei sistemi di automazione esistenti. Gli I/O digitali e analogici e gli URCaps permettono di ampliare facilmente il sistema con componenti di terze parti.
